Well - now we know the full story and reason for "patch police." However,
it still remains that I have copies from early Scouters magazine articles
stating that ALL BSA badges and patches WILL carry the BSA logo in one of
several options. Actually NOT unlike the present statement of policy,
which you so ably knew was set up in 1977 (13 years ago).
Now, perhaps, all of our friends out there will more clearly understand why
the "patch police," as that was the purpose. It is also clear that "what
goes around comes around." Have you ever noticed (and I am sure you have)
that National changes things just to bring them back? That is a close
quote of a statement made to me by Green Bar Bill, when talking with him
about the Boy Scout handbook.
