Please give Adrian a break...our system here is not the best in the world,
and what do you expect from someone that has to take turns using a terminal.
Here at EKU, there are approximately 284 student users and 181 faculty/staff
users (with both numbers increasing every week by 29 on both sides!)
Therefore, the 38 terminals on this campus gets used quite heavily by students
compiling papers, doing research, writing programs, talking with other students,
playing one of the four on-line games available system-wide and just
"experimenting" with the system as a whole. Therefore, when you *do* get access
to a terminal, spelling and grammarical structure goes out the window and
content is streessed because there are usually seven or eight people waiting
for you to get off so that they can get on.
Plus, "Griz" is extremely busy during the day and evening...in addition to his
classes, his leadership of TWO Explorer Posts and personal training he is
taking, he also coaches students on how to use this equipment here.
I critize him sometimes for "not putting his priorities in order". He tells me
that "he has to cut down on some of them"....he feels strongly about his comment
that he places on here since one, he cannot get on everyday like I can and two,
he, like the other "BSA" people here, share a deep love for our program called
While we may disagree on the direction and speed....we are all going in the
same vehicle....over the same roads....and to some of the same places.
So Jake, please re-read his comments. Yes, there are errors there, but this
is NOT "English-L"; rather, this is Scouts-L.
