I was reminded by a member on the list for the need of TWO deep
leadership for all BSA functions. Even if acting in the role
of Merit Badge Counselor. That means that it would be against
polciy for me alone to bring one young scout back to my office
at night to participate in an exercise with data communications
or e-mail or networks, whatever you care to call it. I can
see where this might be even more reason to try to get merit
badges going at troop meetings. Otherwise, a scout may need
to take a parent with him to a merit badge meeting with his
counselor. No more jump on his bike, and ride over to the
counselors home or office to get some requirements completed!
So in that reguard, I will still endeavor to be part of that
soon to be world wide Tuesday nite event, but will need to
find a second adult, or get communications going from the church.
Or I guess I can sit here in the dark, by myself, and send out
some junk. Didn't scouts used to be more fun?
