I feel one of the best ways to deal with disabled youth in troops is to
put on a "Challenge Course". This would consist of trials that would
test each of the five senses and also maybe contact groups like
your local Hearing Society, etc. in order to bring in people to
discuss what it means to be ______________ (you fill in the blank.)
What I am stressing is that sometimes lecture does not do the job,
remember that scouting is about doing and that this teaches by experience.
People love to do this course, I have helped run one myself.
