NOT A FLAME BUT I can not agree with what I see as the
result you are asking for, or at least what I think you are
If a child, based on his or her family tradition wants to pray
before lunch they have every right to do so. If your child
does not that is also her/his right.
The above is of course based on the assumption that the school
is not organizing the "grace".
It is also based on the assumption that it is a public school.
I do know of a case of high school students enrolled in
a Catholic school but not Catholic tried to object to both
praying and being tested on tenents of the "faith" in their
religon class. Guess what the answer to that objection was.
