1. I would hold up my ACTUAL experience of the REAL world against anything you
will experience for at least the next 10 years of your life.
2. When you have raised a child, come back and talk to me about experience.
3. I am sorry you had such a bad experience with Scouting. It is NOT for
EVERYONE, to say the least. And to be perfectly honest, the people who
believe in its goals and purposes are content to keep it that way! We
are not so lofty minded that we believe we can solve all the world's
problems. And contrary to what you may think, most of us are only
concerned with giving our kids a safe environment to grow until they
are old enough to comprehend things like homosexuality and religion
and make their own choices. When they do make their decisions about
life in their teens, they WILL make their OWN decisions, no matter what
we do or say.
4. No one here really cares if you are gay or straight. We separate our
personal sexual activities from our comments on the list because we
are here to talk about Scouting issues and questions, not with whom we
