Recently I red in the Newsweek, that two atheist were not allowd
as Boy Scouts, but I have learnd in the scout-law, that
you should respect other persons and there religion ?
So why should an atheist not become a boy scout ?
Is this right ? What's the idea behind this ?
P.S.: perhaps I should just write about myself, (I am new on this list):
I am 23 years old, a scout leader in Switzerland (not Sweden !)
In our groups are some 130 boys and girls from 7 to 15 years.
There are four mixed groups for the 7 to 11 years old and
a group for girl-scouts and one for boy-scouts.
As I red the messages of the last month, I think that there
are great differences between the scoutorganisations in
different countrys. I am very interesseted to know how other
scout-groups are organized ?.
Are there perhaps some other Swiss scouts reading this list ?
PP.S.: I know, my english is far from perfect, but I hope, you
are able to understand my questions and opinions.
