We must not have had the same UC. When I was in Troop 618 (Hiawatha
Council), my Troopwas rapidly falling apart due to school sport and the like.
I was Senior Patrol Leader at the time and heading for Eagle. After a while
the troop decided that it was going to disband, but the UC came down to see
what was going on. He then sat myself and a friend (who was also going for
eagle) down and informed us that if we didn't get the Troop back on its feet
then there was no way we were going to get Eagle. I tried to keep the Troop
running, but my friend left. It was kind of ironic how my friend got Eagle at
another Troop while I was too busy with 618 to work on mine.
Oh well, some people just can't handle the ego trip that comes with being a
UC. I had never seen our UC before this incident, so I really don't have too
much respect/like for him.
That's all for now!
