At the end of this month, we will have our Awards Ceremony for my Brownie
Troop. Of the 30 girls, 5 will be in 4th grade next year, and so no
eligible for Brownies. Another troop at our school is almost entirely
made up of girls who will be in 4th next year. We have worked out an
arrangement where my girls will Bridge to that Troop during our awards
ceremony. We will also be accepting the 4 or 5 girls in that Troop who
will not be in 4th grade next year.
I am looking for some kind of ceremony to welcome these new girls into
our Troop. (someone jokingly suggested a "Melting" ceremony, since the
a/c in our meeting place doesn't always work). We have the Bridging
ceremony prettly well planned, and the awards for the various Try-Its
and the Cookie Sales. The girls who didn't earn cookie sales awards
will receive a Brownie Bookmark in appreciation of the work they did do.
This basically gets everyone recognized except for the new girls.
