I'm NEW and make an apology
Tue, 7 May 1991 14:49:12 CDT
Sorry for my previous message, it was meant for Douglas but others
might be interested.
Now I start my introduction.
I'm a 20 years old student in Information Science in The Hague, The
Since my 12th year I has been a member of my local scouting group,
the 'Admiralengroep' (translated: The Group of the Admirals). This
is a group of waterscouts (do they exist somewhere else on this
beautiful planet). I was a 'Zeeverkenner' (boy scout) until my
sixteenth when I became a 'Matroos der Wilde Vaart' (Ranger/Explorer).
This was a not a good time due to lack of members (only four of us),
so this subgroup stopped.
Now I'm a 'Loods' (Venture Scout), and one of the engine drivers
of the Diesel engines in our 'Wachtschip', (Troop Ship). I'm aiming
to be the 'Schipper' (Schipper?) of it in future.
What I would like to know is:
- Are there any waterscouting groups anywhere else in the world?
- If so what sorts of ships or boats do you use in scouting
I will tell more about me, the group and the ship when you ask me and
I have learned the dictionairy.
