I don't think there has been much success in our area with this either.
Some time back there was an effort of this type. First the DE and a
volunteer, either the SM, Dist Comis, and/or Scotuing coordinators
tried to meet with a head person in each Chartered organization.
The idea was to review the organizational goals relative to youth
and scouting. Then they were invited to a dinner/presentation. There
were some nice awards given for 50th year of sponsorship etc. But
the continuity didn't last long. PTA leaders can change annualy and
even in churches, the leadership changes. If this was to work, the
vist would have to stay at an annual basis, maybe at charter time!
Some units have even lost PTA sponsorship, and are now sponsored by
a Parents CLub, or some such vaugue title. Sorry this dosn't help
by I think it is worth continuing the effort!
