As a reply to Rusty who asked about the truth to the rumors of co-ed Scouting,
I'd like to say that although I have no problems with it, it is apparently
not being seriously considered at the national level. This comes from Mr. G.
Jay Heim, the National Director of N.E.S.A., who spoke at our Norwich N.E.S.A.
Spring Banquet last night. One reason given, if I remember correctly, was
because the Girl Scouts would not discuss the idea with the Boy Scouts. I
would like to say that although we are a N.E.S.A. chapter we do have females
who not only participate in our activities, but also hold some offices. Any
body else have an opinion (yea or nay) on co-ed Scouting?
