I have the Fact Sheets from National on Venturing.
The Bronze award - Venturers can earn their crew's specialty Bronze Award or
all Five Bronze Awards (Arts & Hobbies, Outdoor, Sea Scouting (Ordinary
Award), Sports, and Youth Ministries. One Bronze Awards is required for the
Venturing G.O.L.D. Award. This is an entry level award to carry on to the
The G.O.L.D. award replaces the Explorer G.O.L.D. award., must be registerd
for 2 months before final qualification. Serve in leadership for 12 months.
Plan and lead 2 crew activities built around the 6 experience areas. Recite
the Venturing Oath. Set and accomplish on epersonal goal related to each of
the 6 experience areas. Particpate in a district, council or national
Venturing evnet or activity. Need 3 letter of recommendation from adults
outise of the crew. and an oral presentation to a crew revie committee.
Silver Award, must earn the Bronze Award and G.O.L.D. be proficient in
emergency preparednes, participated in Ethics In Action, complete the new
Venturing Leadership Skills Course.
Ranger award exemplifies a challengng high-level outdoor/high adventure
skills advance program.
Complete eight challenging core requirements: First Aid, Emergency
Preparedness, Leave No Trace, Navigation, Wilderness Survival,
Communicaitons, Cooking, Conservation.
Add four to 18 challenging electives:
Backpacking, Project COPE, ecology,Fishing,Hunting, Mountaineering, Physical
Fitness, Scuba, Watercraft, Cave Exploring, Cycling/Mountain Biking, First
Aid, Equestrian, Lifesaver, Outdoor Living History, Plants & Wildlife,
Shooting Sports, Winter Sports.
