Associate Advisors and Committee members

I'm an Eagle Scout and graduate of the University of Arkansas, but I'm
from the St. Louis area originally (Okaw Valley Council). Recently I've
moved to Dallas, and am in the process of starting a Law Enforcement
Explorer Post at the PD I just started with.
The Explorer Posts I've bene involved with in the past have had very
little in the way of asult voluntters, but we're getting a good response
from the department personnel on getting this post started. Anyway, my
questions revolves around the differneces between having the POst Committe
and Post Advisors.
What is the role of each? Are they separate parts of the adult
leadership? I've been told that the Post Advisor isn't supposed to be a
member of the Post Committee. Can the Associate Advisors be on the
