To answer the question about federal funds (I am not a professional,
so I'm not making a statement):
The National Scout Jamboree at Fort AP Hill (military personnel on
staff, military facilities being used, military vehicles being driven
by Scouters) is just one example of federal funds being spent on

provide funds and leadership.
Representatives from federal agencies sit on various national
committees. My committee, the National Outdoor Exploring Committee,
has reps from the US Forest Service and the US Park Service.
