I heard this was going to be the case in Sweden of being dry, and that's
fine, I personally drink very little alcoholic beverages myself, and I had a
number of friends working on the World Moot in Sweden whom I meet in
Switzerland and Australia. The Moots in Australia and Switzerland were not
dry and if it wasn't for the sales of beer to the participants the Moot
would not have broken even. Moots in Australia and New Zealand traditonally
have alcohol involved. Alcohol is not policed but the individual rover
crews do police thamselves as tonot bring Rovers and the Scouting name into
disrepute. Wasn't it a few years ago at a Canadian Rover Moot there were
more Australians tha Canadains (grin)?

This is the case because this had been communcated to us for the 8th World Moot.
>I'm not so sure about that. Is the Wj completely dry?
It should be completely dry because it is dealing with a different age
group. I am not being hypocritical, At different ages in your life you get
different freedoms, and thus Rovers and Venturers should be kept a part when
drinking is involved. When we camp with Venturers, that was when I was a
Rover the camp was dry, and basically any scouting camp we have with people
under the age of 18 is a dry camp. Over the age of 18 for all participants
is not a problem. A good Rover drink is Port. Maybe you should try some
Mudbash Port, also referred to as paint stripper or Pine-o-clean.

I wish, I wish, I plan to vacate this country when the Olympics are on.
