I understand the reasoning behind the policy- but it can sometimes be so
frustrating! Most of our Explorers are 18 or over- and are old enough to
live and work independently anywhere in the country- or the world for that
matter. They are old enough to fight and possibly die for our country in the
armed forces. They are old enough to vote. But they are NOT old enough to
go to summer camp without two adults! We often have a devil of a time
getting leader(s), especially the second leader. Right now, it looks as if
we're going to have to combine with another post up at camp this year- or
neither unit will be able to attend.
