There should have been no problem getting this set up. All they had to do
is call it a "Venture Outing", have two deep leadership with at least one
other female leader, separate sleeping areas, and it would have been legal
(BSA speaking). Girls can go on venture outings as long as certain
guidelines are followed. In Explorers, it's the same guidelines, and girls
are actually allowed to be a part of the program (obviously not in the Boy
Scout traditional program.) Sounds like CNN is trying to "stir the pot",
it's a "non-issue" if we follow the designed program.
